Graves Brothers
Company owns and actively manages over 6,500 acres of citrus groves.
The groves are located in Indian River, St. Lucie and Hendry Counties,
Florida.
Varieties include Grapefruit (Ruby Red, Flame and
White), Round Oranges (Hamlin, Pineapple, Mid Sweet and Valencia),
Navel Oranges and Mandarins (Temple Oranges, Minneola Tangelo, Orlando
Tangelo, Sunburst and Honey Tangerine). The Grapefruit, Navel Oranges
and Mandarins are produced in the Indian River District for the fresh
fruit market. The Round Oranges are produced for the processed juice
market.
All groves are equipped with permanent low volume
irrigation systems allowing efficient utilization of our water
resources. Additionally, satellite and computer technologies
facilitate our practice of Precision Agriculture, which is the most
advanced methodology for the application of chemicals and
fertilization. The efficient use of inputs improves management economy
by maximizing crop benefit while minimizing the impact on the
environment.
All Graves Brothers Company production department
management personnel have university degrees in citriculture. All
supervisory employees are trained and certified in agricultural
chemical applications.
